We try to visit all the best restaurants in Barcelona, and this time it was Xerta’s turn. We were lucky to go on the first day they launched their new menu the dishes were explosive, full of new flavors and textures. We were absolutely amazed. Xerta is now one of our favorite gourmet restaurants in the city. The service from the waiters and commis was excellent professional, friendly, and informative. Great job to the whole team. I absolutely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to have a true gourmet experience and discover exciting new flavors.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate an important personal occasion — and we were absolutely thrilled. Unexpectedly, we got to try the brand-new tasting menu and were among the very first guests to experience it. It was an explosion of Mediterranean flavors — rich, fresh, and deeply layered. Sea urchin, oyster, sea cucumber, various types of fish, caviar, foie gras, squid — each ingredient was presented with finesse and great attention to detail. The atmosphere is calm and intimate, perfect for a date or a special evening. Service was professional, warm, and genuinely attentive. The wine selection was unusual and beautifully matched. We were truly impressed. Loved absolutely everything. The quality, flavors, service, and ambiance together fully deserve a perfect score. The current 4.4 rating feels genuinely unfair — this restaurant absolutely deserves 5 stars.

The food is wonderful with an Instagram-worthy presentation. Although the dishes are a little on the salty side, the flavor pairs beautifully with a glass of red wine. While I wish the portion sizes were a bit larger, the styling and taste more than make up for it. (Check out the photos in the “Product Menu” for a visual treat!) The service is truly exceptional. The staff takes the time to introduce every dish and explain the intended eating sequence. Their thoughtful gestures—even providing a bucket of water for our flowers—add a personal touch that makes the dining experience even more memorable.

We had such a special and wonderful time here at Xerta for our anniversary! We had the chefs selection with the wine pairing. Each and every dish was better than the last!!!! The wine paired perfectly with each dish presented. The staff was so attentive and kind and explained each dish and each wine to us. It was a 10/10 experience that we will always remember. Highly recommend you go if you're in town!

I had such a great dinner in Xerta Restaurant. I was having a tasting menu with drinks what the sommelier and the team suggested me to have. Everything was amazing. My waiters Andres and Nora were super nice they really took care about details and how I feel myself during the night. I really enjoyed watching the kitchen between the courses. My favourite plates were the Mackerel and the Delta “mut” rice.
